Softball Recap: Glendale Takes a Loss

Mount Union hit Glendale with a five-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 two weeks ago.

Glendale saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Peterson, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and one run.

Glendale's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Mount Union, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.

Glendale has already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Curwensville on the 8th. As for Mount Union, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-4 loss against Southern Huntingdon County on the 8th.
