Softball Recap: Lee Comes Up Short

Lee lost against Nederland back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lee Ganders came up short against the Nederland Bulldogs, falling 12-1. The Ganders just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Lee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Calli Barron, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lee's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Nederland, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee will welcome Barbers Hill at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Lee has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Nederland, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against West Brook at 12:30 p.m. West Brook has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.91 runs per game on average), something Nederland will no doubt try to take advantage of.
