Softball Recap: El Dorado Golden Hawks vs. Charter Oak Chargers
If El Dorado was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Sunny Hills last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. El Dorado fell just short of the Charter Oak Chargers by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Golden Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in March of 2021.

Kayla Davenport was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jessica Cherms was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Renay Chavez, who went 3-for-4 with one triple and one run.
