Soccer Game Preview: Yukon vs. Santa Fe South

Yukon is 0-3 against Santa Fe South since March of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. Yukon will be playing at home against Santa Fe South at 7:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Yukon is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Putnam City, who was ranked 18th at the time (Yukon was ranked 13th). Yukon's defense stepped up to hand Putnam City a 1-0 shutout two weeks ago. Winning may never get old, but Yukon sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe South and Northwest Classen faced off in a cross-town battle on Tuesday. Santa Fe South fell just short of Northwest Classen by a score of 2-1. The loss was Santa Fe South's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Santa Fe South fell to 6-1. As for Yukon, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
