Baseball Recap: Poplarville Extends Winning Streak to Five

Poplarville entered their tilt with Perry Central on Saturday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They beat the Perry Central Bulldogs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-4. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won three matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Jeremiah Moss and Brayden Lee did most of the damage at the plate: Moss went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Lee scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That home run marked the first that Moss launched this season. Another player making a difference was Brock Sheppard, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
