 While Coginchaug Regional put up some  runs on Saturday, the same  can't be said for Westbrook. The Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils came out on top against the Westbrook Knights by a score of  5-0. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Coginchaug Regional.
 The result came thanks to  Emily Allen's shutout, as she gave up just three  hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Lily Montgomery and  Addison Costa did most of the damage at the plate:  Montgomery  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Costa  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.  Claire Overton was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Coginchaug Regional is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record  this season. As for Westbrook,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-7.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coginchaug Regional will  square off against Bunnell at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Coginchaug Regional is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8  runs per game  this season. As for Westbrook, they will head out on the road to  take on  Old Lyme at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Old Lyme's pitching crew has only allowed 1.4  runs per game  this season, so Westbrook's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
