Volleyball Recap: Clarkson/Leigh's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Clarkson/Leigh lost against David City back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Patriots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scouts.

While Clarkson/Leigh ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21.

David City found their leader in sophomore Emma Zimmerman, who had eight digs and two aces.

Clarkson/Leigh's loss ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6. As for David City, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Clarkson/Leigh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Bergan Catholic on the 30th. As for David City, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Thayer Central on the 30th.
