Grant Park won against Donovan last Tuesday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Grant Park Dragons claimed a resounding 65-38 victory over the Momence Momence Athletics. This was a revenge game for the Dragons: when they faced off against the Momence Athletics back in December of 2024, they had to take a 60-56 defeat.

Momence's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Ford, who posted two points in addition to 11 rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Ford a new career-high in boards. Mathew Brough also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first board of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Grant Park and bumps their season record up to 10-18. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 5-19 Donovan and 9-16 Momence. As for Momence, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Looking ahead, Grant Park will head out to face off against Peotone at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Momence, they have already played their next game, a 69-44 victory against Donovan on the 18th.
