Baseball Game Preview: Delta Chargers vs. Charleston Bluejays

Delta hasn't had much luck against Charleston recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bluejays at 1:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Delta took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Hayti, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Chargers had just enough and edged out the Indians 11-10 on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Chargers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Charleston). They never let Scott County Central get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Bluejays in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won three in a row.

Delta's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for Charleston, their victory bumped their record up to 3-14.
