Basketball Game Preview: Canadian Wildcats vs. River Road Wildcats

We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Friday, Canadian ended up a good deal behind Childress and lost 36-18. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, River Road was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dalhart. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 799th, while the Wolves are ranked 386th).

River Road's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Canadian, they now have a losing record at 12-13.

Canadian couldn't quite finish off River Road in their previous matchup two weeks ago and fell 41-39. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of River Road's Alex Warren, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
