Soccer Recap: Mitchell Comes Up Short

Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Avery County Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Avery County this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in April.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Avery County, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8-2.

Coming up, Mitchell will challenge Draughn at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mitchell are facing Draughn at the right time seeing as Draughn are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Avery County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
