Soccer Recap: Newark Charter School Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Newark Charter School couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the St. Mark's Spartans by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Newark Charter School haven't had much luck with St. Mark's recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Newark Charter School's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for St. Mark's, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Newark Charter School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Mark's, they will take on Caravel Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Caravel Academy's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so St. Mark's offense will have their work cut out for them.
