Recap: West Ashley Wildcats vs. Cathedral Academy Generals
The West Ashley Wildcats entered their tilt with the Cathedral Academy Generals with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. West Ashley secured a 47-42 W over Cathedral Academy on Saturday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Ashley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ella Crowe, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Troi Watkins, who scored ten points.
West Ashley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Cathedral Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Ashley and Wando will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wando is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Cathedral Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Calhoun Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Calhoun Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Cathedral Academy is ranked 79th).
