Barrow is 8-1 against Sitka since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. without much rest, having both just played. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Barrow sitting on six straight victories and Sitka on three.

Barrow is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Valdez with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 84-70. That's two games straight that the Whalers have won by exactly 14 points.

Meanwhile, Sitka didn't have too much trouble with Lathrop on Friday as they won 77-61. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Malemutes are ranked 29th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Barrow's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Sitka, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.

Barrow was able to grind out a solid win over Sitka when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 56-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Barrow since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
