West Rowan has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
West Rowan suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 85-47 loss at the hands of Central Cabarrus. West Rowan has not had much luck with Central Cabarrus recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
West Rowan's defeat came about despite a quality game from Will Givens Jr., who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Northwest Cabarrus suffered their closest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of Carson by a score of 62-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
The losing side was boosted by Jordan Gonder, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Landon Rowe, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
West Rowan has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Northwest Cabarrus, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: West Rowan hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 62.7 points per game. However, it's not like Northwest Cabarrus struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 59.9 points per game. The only thing between West Rowan and another offensive beatdown is Northwest Cabarrus. Will they be able to keep them contained?
