Softball Recap: Bridgeport Comes Up Short

Bridgeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 10-3 to the Springtown Porcupines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Porcupines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Bridgeport's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Springtown, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bridgeport will square off against rival Burkburnett at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Springtown is set to take on their familiar foe Castleberry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
