Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Covenant Patriots vs. Earlsboro Wildcats

The Southwest Covenant Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Earlsboro Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Southwest Covenant came up short against Cyril and fell 51-40. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Pirates are ranked 40th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Earlsboro challenged Roff on Tuesday. Earlsboro strolled past Roff with points to spare, taking the game 57-43.

Southwest Covenant now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Earlsboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Southwest Covenant against Earlsboro when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southwest Covenant since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
