Softball Recap: Danville Takes a Loss

If Danville was feeling good fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Danville lost 8-1 to the Salt Fork Storm on Saturday.

Kendall Rannenbarger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and seven unearned) runs on 12 hits.

At the plate, Ka'Leah Bellik made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Salt Fork, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Danville will welcome Paris at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salt Fork, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Watseka at 4:30 p.m.
