Baseball Recap: Marionville Takes a Loss

Marionville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 7-3 to the Billings Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 9-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Will Crumpley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Marionville's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Billings, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marionville will welcome Purdy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Billings, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against East Newton at 4:30 p.m.
