Preview: Williamson Lions vs. Faith Academy Rams
The Williamson Lions will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Faith Academy Rams at 7:00 p.m. on October 20th.
Last Thursday, Williamson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 14-8 to Citronelle.
Meanwhile, Faith Academy was not the first on the board two weeks ago, but they got there more often. They came out on top against Vigor by a score of 21-13.
The critical scores for Faith Academy came from Edwin King and Tyrell Dotson.
Faith Academy's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Cooper Searcy and his two sacks.
Faith Academy's victory bumped their season record to 4-3 while Williamson's defeat dropped theirs to 3-5.
Williamson might still be hurting after the 26-0 loss they got from Faith Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Williamson, Christian Burnette (who rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
