Basketball Recap: East Lake Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

East Lake had won three straight road games dating back to last season and Jordan Bryant did his part to make it four on Thursday. The East Lake Eagles enjoyed a cozy 56-38 victory over the Clearwater Tornadoes thanks in part to Bryant, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four).

Jeremiah Cooper was another key player, going 7 of 12 on his way to 19 points. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Several Tornadoes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ari Tirado, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavaris Gant, who had six points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

East Lake's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Clearwater, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-4.

East Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-54 victory against Lakewood on the 11th. As for Clearwater, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 56-51 defeat against Sickles on the 11th.
