Volleyball Game Preview: Dixie Hornets vs. Abbeville Panthers

The Dixie Hornets will square off against the Abbeville Panthers on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dixie comes in on three and Abbeville on seven.

Dixie is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over McBee.

Dixie never let McBee on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-10, 25-21.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Abbeville took on Lewisville on Wednesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1.

Abbeville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-22.

Dixie's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Abbeville, their win bumped their record up to 20-3.

Dixie came up short against Abbeville when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 3-1. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
