Baseball Recap: Shawnee's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Shawnee was the 11-1 winner over Cherry Hill East when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Renegades fell 8-3 to the Cougars on Tuesday. The Renegades' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Shawnee got a good showing from Drew Tenet, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Tenet also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Renegades are 5-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 7-8 otherwise.

At the plate, Shawnee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Ahrens, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base.

Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Cherry Hill East, they now have a winning record of 11-10-2.

Shawnee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cherry Hill East, they will challenge Burlington Township at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
