Baseball Recap: Lumberton Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Lumberton challenged Salem on Thursday. The Panthers walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Wildcats. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 7-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kobe Adams was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Morrison, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Lumberton's win bumped their record up to 12-5-1. As for Salem, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Lumberton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
