Basketball Game Preview: East Bridgewater Vikings vs. West Bridgewater Wildcats

East Bridgewater and West Bridgewater are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The East Bridgewater Vikings will host the West Bridgewater Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. East Bridgewater knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully West Bridgewater likes a good challenge.

East Bridgewater took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They managed a 60-56 victory over Middleborough.

Meanwhile, West Bridgewater suffered their closest defeat since February 1, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Holbrook by a score of 62-59. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

East Bridgewater's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for West Bridgewater, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

East Bridgewater took their victory against West Bridgewater in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 51-31. Will East Bridgewater repeat their success, or does West Bridgewater have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
