Volleyball Recap: Peshtigo Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Peshtigo waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Gibraltar Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Peshtigo was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-9, 25-13.

Emma Vista paced Peshtigo's offense, picking up eight kills. Vista got some help from Skylyn Baxter and her 15 assists. Athena Powers controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Peshtigo's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Gibraltar, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-21.

Peshtigo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Chilton on the 11th. As for Gibraltar, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Oconto on the 14th.
