Basketball Recap: Red Wing Comes Up Short

Red Wing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 75-39 loss at the hands of the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars. The contest marked the Wingers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Red Wing's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Zumbrota-Mazeppa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Wing will host Century at 1:30 p.m. on January 8, 2026. As for Zumbrota-Mazeppa, they will take on Plainview-Elgin-Millville at 1:15 p.m. on Friday.
