Soccer Game Preview: Chesterton vs. Concord

The Chesterton Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the Concord Minutemen at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. Chesterton is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Lake Central who was credited with the victory on Wednesday. The Indians got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Chesterton's two.

The Trojans' goal came courtesy of Zarek Sierazy, who's now up to 14 this season.

Concord is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Wawasee a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. With that win, Concord brought their scoring average up to 2.8 goals per game.

The victory made it two in a row for Concord and bumps their season record up to 10-2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those two contests. As for Chesterton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1.
