On Saturday, Cambridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Maxwell, taking the game 46-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Meanwhile, Wauneta-Palisade was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 35-31 to Garden County. The game marked the Broncos' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Wauneta-Palisade has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Cambridge, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Cambridge couldn't quite finish off Wauneta-Palisade when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 43-41. Can Cambridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
