Softball Recap: Howell Comes Up Short

If Howell was riding high fresh off their 11-5 takedown of Toms River South on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rebels lost 10-4 to the Middletown South Eagles on Tuesday. The Rebels have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Howell's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Middletown South, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-5.

Howell didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-1 loss against Colts Neck on the 6th. As for Middletown South, they will welcome Cranford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
