Baseball Recap: Howard Tech Takes a Loss

Howard Tech lost against Sequoyah back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers came up short against the Sequoyah Chiefs, falling 30-3. The Hustlin' Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Howard Tech saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Besley, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Howard Tech's record now sits at 3-3-1. As for Sequoyah, they moved to 5-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Howard Tech will be playing at home against Sale Creek at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Howard Tech has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Sequoyah, they will head out to face off against Tyner Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
