Basketball Recap: Pleasant Grove Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bonham, Pleasant Grove was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-52 win over the North Lamar Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Panthers back in January, they had to take a 53-36 defeat.

Pleasant Grove's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for North Lamar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Grove has already played their next matchup (against Paris), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the North Lamar Panthers take on the Sulphur Springs Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sulphur Springs' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
