Softball Preview: Fort White Indians vs. Baker County Wildcats        
        
		
            
 The Fort White Indians will head out on the road to  challenge  the Baker County Wildcats at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  contest.
 On Tuesday, Fort White faced Trenton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Fort White fell just short of Trenton by a score of  2-1. Fort White has not had much luck with Trenton recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 Fort White saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Morgan Kelly, who  went 1-for-2 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile,  after a string of five wins, Baker County's good fortune finally ran out  on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-0), but sadly  the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
  Chloe Woods spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 Fort White's defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 8-3. As for Baker County, their loss  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 9-4.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Thursday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. Fort White has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 9.7  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Baker County struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 7.9.
