Softball Recap: South Davidson Wins Going Away Against High Point Central

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Davidson, South Davidson was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the High Point Central Bison. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 15 runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Kacie Gordon, who went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Harleigh Russell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Gordon wasn't the only one making solid contact: South Davidson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Wildcats are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

South Davidson's record is now 5-3. As for High Point Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.

South Davidson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-0 loss against West Davidson on the 4th. As for High Point Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 17-0 defeat against Rockingham County on the 8th.
