Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Luke Bonacci and Jake Ellenbecker Lead Lake Park to Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lake Park walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Maine East Blue Demons 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lancers have posted since May 3rd.

Leading Lake Park to victory were Jake Ellenbecker and Luke Bonacci. Ellenbecker had 20 assists and five digs, while Bonacci had six digs and two aces. Ellenbecker has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last eight times he's played.

They weren't the only good server: Lake Park was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Lake Park has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-11 record this season. As for Maine East, their loss dropped their record down to 18-13.
