Softball Recap: Freeport Comes Up Short

Freeport lost against Highlands back in April of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Yellowjackets took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Rams. The contest marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Freeport and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Highlands, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Freeport will challenge rival Greensburg Salem at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Highlands is set to take on their familiar foe Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
