Basketball Recap: Sussex Academy Takes a Loss

Sussex Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 40-33 to the Delmar Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-36 last Tuesday.

Sussex Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Delmar, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Sussex Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-25 defeat against Indian River on the 15th. As for Delmar, they will face off against Seaford at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seaford will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Delmar surely won't give up without a fight.
