Basketball Recap: Trion Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Trion waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Model Blue Devils by a score of 59-50. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 380th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 163rd).

Trion's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Model, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trion will venture away from home to challenge Atlanta Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Model, they will head out to face off against Bremen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
