Volleyball Recap: Catalina Foothills Comes Up Short

Catalina Foothills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orange Lutheran Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Friday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Orange Lutheran scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19.

Catalina Foothills' loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Orange Lutheran, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Catalina Foothills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Maricopa on the 22nd. As for Orange Lutheran, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Tanque Verde on the 20th.
