Soccer Recap: Diboll Takes a Loss

Diboll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Madisonville Mustangs, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Lumberjacks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 663rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 251st).

Diboll's loss dropped their record down to 5-10-1. As for Madisonville, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

Diboll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madisonville, they will square off against Palestine at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Palestine has won seven straight at home, while Madisonville won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
