Softball Recap: Wayne County Wildcats vs. Lawrence County Wildcats

Wayne County scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Lawrence County Wildcats. This was payback for Wayne County, who suffered a 6-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

For Lawrence County's part, Elizabeth Hagen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits. Hagen has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than seven innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
