Fairmont never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past the Northmont Thunderbolts to the tune of 31-0. The Firebirds haven't had any issues with the Thunderbolts recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Fairmont's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damien Pattin, who rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Pattin has posted since back in November of 2024.

Pattin was just one part of a punishing run game: Fairmont was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 242 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northmont only rushed for 34.

Fairmont picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Northmont, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Fairmont didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-12 loss against Springboro on the 10th. As for Northmont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 31-0 defeat against Centerville on the 10th.
