Baseball Game Preview: Maine South Hawks vs. New Trier Trevians

For the second straight game, Maine South will face off against New Trier. The Hawks will square off against the Trevians at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Maine South took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over New Trier. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hawks considering their one-run performance the match before.

Nate Cera was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Vale, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

With the defeat, New Trier broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-6-1. As for Maine South, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
