Clovis and Carlsbad are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Cavemen/Cavegirls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clovis' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Clovis took a five-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Roswell, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats never let the Coyotes get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for Clovis as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Carlsbad's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Hobbs by a score of 1-0. Carlsbad haven't had much luck with Hobbs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Clovis' win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-12-2. As for Carlsbad, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-10-3.
