Basketball Game Preview: Central Davidson Spartans vs. Montgomery Central Timberwolves

Central Davidson is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Oak Grove on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Central Davidson took a blow against Oak Grove, falling 64-35. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Grizzlies are ranked 81st).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-22, which was the final score in Montgomery Central's tilt against Albemarle on Wednesday. The contest marked the Timberwolves' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Central Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Montgomery Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
