Basketball Game Preview: Fletcher Wildcats vs. Alex Longhorns

The Fletcher Wildcats will take on the Alex Longhorns in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Fletcher took on Union City on Saturday. Fletcher walked away with a 49-42 win over Union City. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alex). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Maysville 74-24. The Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Alex is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points per game. As for Fletcher, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.
