It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Orange County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Western Albemarle Warriors 6-5. The victory was familiar territory for the Fighting Hornets, who have now won three contests in a row.

Orange County's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Western Albemarle, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orange County will host Goochland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Albemarle, they will take on Monticello at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Mustangs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
