Basketball Recap: Dirigo Takes Down Old Orchard Beach in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dirigo had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They walked away with a 60-52 win over the Old Orchard Beach Seagulls. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Dirigo is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Old Orchard Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Dirigo will take on Mount Abram at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Mount Abram's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests. Old Orchard Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
