On Monday, South Laurel faced Harlan County in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The South Laurel Cardinals fell to the Harlan County Black Bears 67-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (58), the Cardinals still had to take the loss.
