Soccer Game Preview: Northwestern vs. Chippewa

Northwestern is 0-9-1 against Chippewa since September of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. The Huskies will look to defend their home pitch against the Chipps at 11:00 a.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.

Northwestern is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Rittman on Tuesday. The score was close at halftime, but Northwestern pulled away in the second half with three goals.

They hit Rittman with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Savannah McConahay (2), Addy Connelly, and Kate Johnson.

Meanwhile, Chippewa waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. Considering Chippewa have won 11 matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Northwestern's victory bumped their record up to 2-8-3. As for Chippewa, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.
